My first post - favourite purchases

Firstly, welcome and thanks for reading my blog!

 So here are a few of my most favourite recently acquired items.

 I wanted a parka coat which would do well in Spring and Autumn, but also be warm enough for chilly winter days.  I eventually settled on this one from Warehouse via Asos, it was recommended by the fab Avril from School Gate Style.  It's great as it has a removable inner padded liner, plus the fur from inside and around the hood is removable too.

Warehouse Detachable Faux Fur Parka currently in the sale at £63, sadly only size 8 available.

 On the beauty theme, I did very well at Christmas, and one of my favourite treats was the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed from Space NK.  I have the rose gold.
I swirl it over my forehead, cheekbones and cupid's bow with a large bronzer brush.  It comes in a beautiful compact and is rather decadent.  Brings a bit of glamour to the morning rush!

 Finally, a lovely treat was this matching necklace and earrings from Muru.  The earrings are very dainty and sit perfectly on the ear lobes.  The necklace is a lovely heavy weight and a slightly longer drop.  Goes fab with a slash neck or round next jumper.

    Congratulations on your first post!! Love the parka....am thinking I may need to invest in something more heavy duty than I own as I am sure we will get some snow soon....think a pair of snow boots are also in order! Michelle xx

      Thanks Michelle. The warehouse parka is not really warm so you'd need to layer up if it gets v cold. I also tried the asos Vera Moda one which was a lot warmer (I was looking for a more trans-seasonal piece) and still very lovely. Good luck on your hunt for snow boots! :-) J x

      Thanks Avril, ditto re the coats! I got a short belted padded coat from Zara in the Autumn which hasn't seen the light of day since the parka arrived! J x
